It had been 3 to 4 years since I watched wrestling. I remembered I
first watched wrestling when I was in standard 2. It's WWF (World Wrestling
Federation where now known as WWE World Wrestling Entertainment). I knew it was
fake since I first watched it but I just like it. The wrestler on top of my
favourite list and also my first ever idols in everything is The Rock.
WWF is the first English TV programme I watched (other than
cartoon). For most of the times I learnt new words from it and also bad words.
My parents don’t ban me from watching it. They do found something good in
wrestling, that’s the moral values. As what I said, wrestling was fake, so they
plotted it. Characters are divided into good and bad. The Rock is on the good
side by that time, in feud with the bad side icons like Triple H and Big Show.
Hence, it's normal to see good guys beat bad guys and teach them a
lesson. However, money does help the bad sides to get control of the good
sides. So parents will explained the situation and relate it to the real
society. As a child, thanks to WWF I get to know the real world better. Every kid
that watched WWE will try imitating those actions, The Rock Bottom, Pedigree,
The People's Elbow, Choke slam, DDT, SUplex, more and more. Am I? No! But what
I just did is tried imitate the rock's quotes... Don't believe? I will show
you...
The Rock's
Quotes:
1.
Finally the Rock has come back to the (place name)...
2.
Did you smelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllelll what The Rock is cooking?
3.
Who are you? It doesn't the matter what's your name is!!!
When time gets longer, some classic superstars get back into WWE
included Texas Rattlesnake Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Dead man the
Undertaker. During the first few years, I found it's interesting in wrestling
due to the interesting storyline. Starting from the Mc Mahon family versus The
Rock, rises of new stars like Olympic Gold Medals etc, invasion from ECW and
WCW until The Rock left and became movie star. Things started to keep repeated
and the left of legendary and great wrestlers like Stone Cold, Bill Goldberg,
Mick Foley, Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar and more. Left the immortal dead man
Undertaker and unmasked Kane as the greatest wrestlers. At the same time,
learning to grow up and less watching TV also caused me to pull out in watching
television. The contact and fall in love in football and watching other sports
also caused the decreased interesting in WWE.
Nonetheless, wrestling had be my favourite before and yet will
still live in my heart in a very long long time.
Favourite Wrestlers
1.
The People's Champ- The Rock (Most electrifying man all time. the third
generation wrestler with quite a good look, fit body and now get into
Hollywood, starring in Mummies Return- The Scorpion King, Spy hunter, The
Rundown and also Game plan.)
2. Texas
Rattlesnake- Stone Cold Steve Austin (Famous with his special and hot tempered
image. A beer drinker with his favourite quote: Milk's the bottom line because
Stone Cold said so... Fast and quick move and also his special move that I
still don't know why is it hurts: Stone Cold's Stunner.)
3. Dead
Man/American Bad Ass- Undertaker (Impressed me when I first saw him riding a
motorcycle came out beating up 10 big guys. Later, I witnessed how he scored a
winning streak in Wrestlemania (biggest events in WWF) and yet he was one of
the only 2 superstar that stayed in WWF sine it's was started. Deadly Tombstone
Piledriver and The Last Ride just showed how big this man is.)
4. The
Next Big Thing- Brock Lesnar ( Short service in WWE but becoming the youngest
champion, beating icons like The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Goldberg and
more. Strong and muscular body. He got my favourite wrestling move: the F5)
5. The
Game- Triple HHH. (Faced several serious injuries yet still involved in
wrestling. He got the most beautiful body among the wrestlers. The V-shape he
got just proved The Game will ever in the game.)
6. Big Red
Machine- MASKED Kane. (I hate the unmasked Kane. But masked Kane was one of the
legend wrestlers in my heart. He is powerful, fast and cruel. A big chokeslam
and the ability to beat 10 to 20 wrestlers at the same time caused me to
respect and like this big man.)
7. RIP
Rabid Wolverine- Chris Benoit (Passed away Chris Benoit nonetheless the most
technical wrestler with his strong submission moves like sharp shooter and also
his special- Crippler Crossface.)
8. Bill Goldberg
(He wrestled like a beast, quick and powerful spears that been speared almost
everyone... I mean everyone...)
9. The
Heart Break Kid - Shawn Michael (A tough Red Indiana wrestler often saw him
with serious injuries but yet still non-stop involved in wrestling. One of the
longest wrestlers together with Undertaker... Sweet Chin Music a super kick
that he applied as special moves even to five hundred pounds Big Show...)
10. The
Legend Killer- Randy Orton - (Young and intelligent. Came out from nowhere to
win the world heavyweight champion as the youngest champion. Famous move RKO
and Super RKO owns icons like Hulk Hogan and Mick Foley.)
